Samara Costa Rica Real Estate
Lying along Costa Rica’s Northern Pacific shoreline is Samara, an ideal tiny beach town for people looking for the perfect tropical hideaway. Its calm, peaceful waters are the result of the presence of a beautiful coral reef as well as Samara’s very own wooded islet, the scenic Isla Chora. It is also the very serenity of these shallow waters that makes Samara a great beach for families and especially young kids, as opposed to most of the other beaches along the same coastline which wave riders love for their strong surf.
In keeping with the quietude and mellowness of its waters, Samara has become one of Costa Rica’s best kept beach getaways. Nonetheless, anyone who knows the beaches of Costa Rica would most likely single Samara out as one of the most relaxing and picturesque vacation spots in the area. It is also known for topnotch sport-fishing, what with the rich marine life abounding in its unspoiled waters. Moreover, the splendid aquatic fauna thriving in the pristine waters surrounding the nearby coral reef make it a great snorkeling site.
You may also go boating on the beautiful azure water, windsurf, tour the area on horseback or on a rented bike or scooter, or simply lounge around on the sand or doze off in a hammock while indulging in the unhurried tropical atmosphere. In particular, Isla Chora is also well-known for the beautiful marine birds that thrive here, as well as its dreamy pink sand. What makes it even better is the fact that you can actually kayak your way to this gorgeous little islet.
There are also restaurants and bars dotting the beach, the sand floors and beach-inspired furnishings of which enhance the whole feeling of having escaped to paradise. At night, there are cocktail bars and discos where you can kick back, relax and dance the night away.
There’s more to Samara than being just a beach resort, however. Unlike most of the resorts in the area, Samara also happens to be a flourishing farming and a fishing community. It is a homely town, and is not lacking in daily conveniences such as supermarkets, a pharmacy, stores, hotels, and a school. It also has an airport, to and from which there are 30-minute flights connecting Samara to San José twice daily. It is also about 30 minutes away by drive from Nicoya, the provincial capital, where there is a hospital, banks, supermarkets, stores and schools.
The warm and hospitable nature of the local people complement the steady stream of foreigners that come to Samara, and it is undoubtedly one reason why many decide to stay and buy their own property here. Many Costa Ricans and foreigners, especially Europeans, come to Samara for their holiday and weekend vacations.
Despite the mounting demand for real estate in Samara, the prices of property in this cozy beach town have remained relatively affordable and very reasonable. This is actually quite astonishing, considering all that Samara has to offer. Simply put, owning property in this charming little town is almost a dream come true, and it would almost be a sin to pass up this excellent opportunity to have a stake in this wonderful tropical paradise.
